UK-Rwanda Business Forum

The Kigali International Financial Centre took part in the UK-Rwanda Business Forum, that took place from 29-31 January 2024 at Kigali Convention Centre.

Objectives of the Forum

  • To highlight to UK investors the investment potential in Rwanda, its favourable business climate, and its strategic position at the heart of the EAC region.
  • To bring together UK and Rwanda policymakers, business operators and investors to engage, discover opportunities, strategize, and further trade and investment prospects.
  • To pitch Rwandan business opportunities and lay the groundwork for building sustainable commercial relationships, to drive trade and investment growth in Rwanda, including in the run-up to the UK-African Investment Summit 2024 (UK-AIS 2024).
  • To discuss and develop recommendations to address the existing trade and investment barriers.

Nick Barigye, the CEO of Rwanda Finance Ltd, the agency mandated to promote the Kigali International Financial Centre, took part in a panel discussing how financial and professional services are an asset to the economy where he shared insights on how KIFC is transforming Rwanda into one of the leading financial services hubs in Africa. The panel discussion took place on 30 January 2024.

In addition, the Chief Strategy Officer Hortense Mudenge moderated a high-level panel discussion themed “Succeeding in Rwanda: Unlocking Growth & Opportunities” at the UK-Rwanda Business Forum.

At the Rwanda Business Forum, KIFC hosted a booth, presenting its activities to the attendees and significantly enhancing awareness of KIFC. Visitors were drawn to the booth to gain a comprehensive understanding of KIFC’s mission and operations.
