Kigali, Rwanda – February 19, 2025 – H.E. Paul Kagame, the President of the Republic of Rwanda, will attend the second edition of the Inclusive Fintech Forum taking place on 24-26 February 2025 in Kigali, Rwanda.
This global event, set to be held at the Kigali Convention Centre, will bring together policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, and regulators for impactful discussions on advancing economic inclusion through technology. President Kagame will grace the event as a keynote speaker.
IFF 2025 builds on the success of the inaugural forum held in June 2023 in Kigali, which was also attended by President Kagame. Speaking at the event, he highlighted the transformative impact of FinTech in Africa, stating: “FinTechs are accelerating Africa’s digital transformation, and the impact is evident. Across the continent, more jobs, wealth, and opportunities are being created.”
He also spoke about Africa’s demographic advantage, noting, “At the helm of Africa’s fintech industry is a young and rapidly growing population, ready to innovate solutions and drive financial inclusion. This demographic dividend has attracted increased investment into African fintechs.”
In addition, President Kagame emphasized the importance of collaboration for the continued growth of FinTech, remarking: “To sustain the progress we have made, we must strengthen partnerships and build a more inclusive, sustainable, and accessible FinTech ecosystem.”
Under the theme “Empowering Economic Inclusion Through Accelerated Technology Adoption,” IFF 2025 is expected to attract up to 3,000 delegates from around the world. The event will feature high-profile speakers and a high-level opening ceremony.
IFF 2025 is being organized through a partnership between Kigali International Financial Centre, Rwanda’s financial centre facilitating international investment and cross-border transactions in Africa, the National Bank of Rwanda; Rwanda’s Central Bank, and the Global Finance & Technology Network, a company set up by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
With its diverse global audience and forward-thinking discussions, the forum is poised to play a key role in advancing financial inclusion and accelerating Africa’s digital transformation.
