Nji Ferdinand Tanji is the International Tax Expert at the Kigali International Financial Centre, a financial centre facilitating international investment and cross-border transactions in Africa.

KIFC’s mandate is to position Rwanda as a preferred financial jurisdiction for investments in Africa by offering an attractive, competitive, and investor-friendly environment, fully compliant with international best practices.

Ferdinand is a seasoned tax expert with an experience close to three decades in tax compliance, audits, and advisory services. He is specialized in international taxation and transfer pricing, with extensive knowledge of domestic tax systems around the world and Africa in particular. Proven leadership in both public and private sectors, managing large tax audits and cross-border tax issues.

Prior to joining KIFC, Ferdinand worked for Ernst & Young Cameroon as Associate Director for Tax & Legal. Ferdinand also worked for the Ministry of Finance, Cameroon as Principal Inspector of Taxes, Independent Correspondent Reviewer for Tax Treaties signed with African Countries, Principal Inspector, General Tax Audits, Head of Tax Unit, Douala 4th District and General Tax Auditor for Direct and Indirect Taxes (All positions occupied in different time frame).

Ferdinand holds an Advance Masters in International Tax Law (LLM) from the University of Leiden Netherlands, and a Post graduate Diploma (Masters Level) from Saïd Business School: University of Oxford, United Kingdom. Ferdinand also possesses a Bachelor of Laws and a Post graduate diploma from the University of Yaoundé.
