Garnet Partners, in partnership with the Kigali International Financial Centre and Rubicola Consulting, organized a training aimed at equipping industry leaders, including board members, CEOs, CFOs, accountants, and risk managers, with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and implement International Sustainability Standards effectively.
On 16 April 2024, Garnet Partners, a KIFC club member, conducted a training session on Climate Risk and Sustainability Disclosure in financial reporting to equip industry leaders with advanced skills in international sustainability disclosure.
The objective of the training was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of sustainability disclosure standards, ESG reporting frameworks, and climate-related disclosures. The participants were equipped with the knowledge and skills to navigate the complex landscape of sustainability reporting and effectively communicate their organization’s sustainability efforts.
This training was designed for executive members and professionals involved in corporate sustainability, environmental management, investor relations, corporate communications, and finance.
The CEO of Rwanda Finance Ltd, the agency mandated to promote the Kigali international Financial Centre Nick Barigye delivered a keynote address whereby he invited the audience to embed sustainable principles into every facet of financial decision-making.
